Tulip time


My flower discovery this year has been frilly tulips. I love the crisp, crinkled edges to the petals. Definitely a bigger order going in for these in the summer - the only problem will be to find space. I have a long term plan for increasing the amount of flowers at the allotment, although overall the terms of the lease from the city council state that the majority of the plot has to be cultivated for food production.

The other discovery has been the rich, glowing colours of Abu Hassan:

Both varieties are beautiful but I must say I like the color contrast between the Abu Hassan and the blue wall.

Oh lovely! Ours are just starting to fill out. Sounds like we are pretty on even keel season wise.

lovely tulips , i 'm sure that you can embellish your garden with flowers , you know that a lot of them are eatable ;)

Ha! FRILLY tulips, that's the right word for those tulips! I think they are so beautiful, and I think they are new!
I don't have a garden here in Vienna, but my parents still have one. So I'm happy to look over your shoulder when you are gardening :)
