Skywatch Friday - what sky?

Last Friday I took a day off work for a combined allotment/Christmas shopping blitz. It was a day of freezing fog, and not surprisingly I was the only person mad enough to be working my plot that day. While I was working - hard - I was warm enough, but as soon as I stopped the damp chill seeped into my bones. I drank my thermos of tea sitting on a deckchair inside the shed, looking out at the foggy view, and felt very...British and eccentric.

More skies from around the world, including some with sun, are at Skywatch Friday.

Dull and dreary is an understatement. It really does give us the real mood of what you were feeling. Cold and fog can be so bad. I am glad you had your tea.

Now who would want sunshine when you can have freezing fog? All those sunny sky photos can get a little boring.

I luv visiting your blog.

Did you get any shopping done that day? I am proud of you for gardening in the cold. I can picture you in the shed sitting on your chair. It's good there's a window for you to look out of, or was it the door?

I hope you get some sunshine soon. You asked whether I could post photos of the inside of the quilt museum. I've never been in the museum. I keep thinking I will go some time, though. I added some more info and a link to their website. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't allow photos to be taken inside there.

Wow I'm very impressed that you managed to get yourself to the plot with fog like that. I think I need to take note!

Now that's what I call dedication. Gardening in the freezing fog!

Great photo - took me right back to that freezing cold day. I was not so dedicated as you though - I looked out at the plot from the comfort of the fireside. x

I can see the grey white sky there. ;)
We have the same sky line, but the temp is only 23 celsius.

Impressive! I love my allotment, but I closed it in October. Too cold. I will probably not set my foot there until March, when snowdrops, crocus and the sun returns.
