First Aid

I'm pleased to report that in the couple of weeks since this notice was posted on the site noticeboard the fox's limp has improved considerably. We haven't seen the cubs yet, but we're hoping to if we get along to the plot one evening. That is, if the rain stops.

Linda, this is an interesting post.

I have a fox story, too. My son and dil live in a country subdivision where everyone has two or three acres. A couple days ago, Nicole saw a fox run across the yard, slip through the fence, take a drink out of the swimming pool and then run off. Not sure chlorine is good for a fox. Also, a fox killed a neighbor's dog. Not sure if it was the same one.

Hope the mother fox will heal and be able to care for her cubs.

We have a mother fox that raises kits behind our home. Mostly nocturnal, but we'd see Mom some mornings on a late mousing run. Hope your local fox is OK--life is tough on suburban critters.

What a neat story. She could of cut her paw or sprained it so she would get better. Our border collie is getting his paw hurt somehow and it take a few weeks to be better.
