Persuasion

Here's something that might give me some enthusiasm for the plot this year.  Rhubarb compote, at 2 quid a pack!  One of our favourite puddings is stewed rhubarb over Mackie's butterscotch ice cream.  Try it - divine!  With rhubarb for the taking at the allotment we've come to take it for granted.  The prospect of having to buy it is rather horrifying.

Living in the rhubarb triangle we are surrounded by fields of rhubarb

At £2 a throw, you would have thought they would at least spell "Rhubarb" correctly!
I love the stuff. Wish I had room to grow more of it.

It's definitely worth having an allotment to grow things which are expensive in the shops. You'll be pleased you kept your plot when you fancy that rhubarb and Mackie's butterscotch ice cream.

Wish I hadn't read this. We have a token head and eat its thin sprigs with reverence. It isn't happy. I'm jealous of people with proper wardrobe.

Sorry about the wardrobe. Have no idea where that came from. Although there is a wardrobe in my most recent post I didn't write that until two days after visiting here. Now I'm wondering if I've been leaving comments about irrelevant articles of furniture wherever I've been recently. Perhaps I should back-track and see.

Do you have some on that patch of yours? I hope so!! That's a bit pricey for a dollop of the good stuff!
