Hi there - Thanks for stopping by my place yesterday and your kind comments about my writing...I am a huge fan of gardening too, and hoping for a bit more spring here to get things going too. Your spot looks lovely - So sorry to hear about your shed being broken into...Sad what some people will do. I had to laugh about your laundry smelling of fuel, because my sweetie is a diesel mechanic, and the laundry room here frequently smells of it - seems to get everywhere.

You too are definitely having spring. The light is bright and the grass is green. I could watch people work for hours.

I like to watch other people work and sometimes I even offer my advice and tell them what they're doing wrong. Not really.
This photo is so fresh and spring looking. The touches of color are great -- the orange container, the blue jacket, the white flowers.

You can almost smell the enthusiasm of the gardeners mixed in with the lovely scent of freshly turned earth. Doesn't get more "spring-y" than that.
I see the heaps still there...

Alice, I'll be visiting properly as soon as I can. Somehow my free time has evaporated at the moment.
Linda, these are individual plots on a larger site owned by the city council. You rent a plot for an annual sum of around £60.
Julia, I think I'll have to be less sensitive to the smell of petrol in the garage. It is a garage, after all!
