Naughty

Bad enough, but when it comes to holes dug in the middle of newly planted overwintering onions...

I've been unable to visit other blogs much lately. Hope to emerge from this busy spell soon and see what's happening elsewhere.

Naughty fox. Here in Missouri I have armadillos digging up my lawn. Have a wonderful week.

What's a fox to do if he needs one brown shoe and some onions? Very cute post.

Signs on life on a barren land? or should I call it an Oasis? :-) Nice shots!

Maybe the Naughty Fox needed an onion to season the soup she was making from the shoe. I really liked the sign.

Have a wonderful day.

I bet if a fox is hungry enough that he could eat leather from a shoe. What a sign!!!

I just found your 'fave' on Blotanical. Thanks so much! I'll count on your blogs to help me connect with Scotland. At present, I travel there vicariously when I curl up with a good mystery at night. Partial to mysteries set in the U.K.!! Cheers, Alice

I guess the shoe-chewing desire is prevalent throughout the canid species. Next time the dog chews your slippers, he can blame it on instinct. Hah!
So the foxes like to eat the onions, too, or do you think another pest is to blame?

Adrienne, I think it's likely to be the fox. No sign of badgers at the site, and our other main pests are pigeons. This is probably another of the dog instincts. I know when our Springer spaniel was in the huff about something (usually if my Dad didn't take him shooting) he dig a nice hole in the garden to vent his frustration. Maybe the fox discovered that the left brown shoe didn't taste too good!
